anyone have these camshafts? what do you think of them?

also, i read on another closed forum that someone only got 2.5 hp and was tuned. he also said he lost 400rpms in spool up. what is that about? shoudnt you spool quicker?
thanx

I believe the person you speak of just posted this response a few threads down that became locked. He said he gained 2.5 MPH at the end of the 1/4. That's a pretty hefty gain for a set of cams.

o ok,thanx for clarifying that, but i would still like to hear some replys from u guys

Do a search for crower cams. I answerd this question many times. I also posted and added videos on dsmtalk.com on the auto trannie section and parts talk.

They need to be degreed with cam gears in order to realize the full potential. In some cases you will lose power if they are off by too much. Hold out for some HKS cams if you want proven, zero headache cams.

I have Crower Stage 2s, now I have to also to buy cam gears and it will all end up costing more than if I just bought "expensive" HKS cams that are right and can be installed straight up with stock gears.

The choice is yours...

OK, what would be the main reason to buy Crower over HK$? To save money. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for :(. Their quality is not as good. You can correct the degreeing issue with adjustable gears (extra $200-$500) and a couple of hours of dyno time. But then, you might still be facing variations with-in the lobes (something that you can not correct with adjustable gears).

So now, you are spending $100-$400 more than HK$ cams (not counting dyno time) and not getting as good of product… Still think that you are saving money?

i have crower stage 2's also, unfortunately i put them in at the same time i did all my other mods so i don't know how well they are working. i don't know of a dyno anywhere nearby either. sumtimes i feel that the car should be faster considering all the work i've done.
