how much boost can i run out of the factory turbo........and how much can i push with the t28......and if anyone could tell me how much the factory wheels weigh i would appreciate it ......thanks......blake

Now that depends on your mods, the octane gas you run, air temps, ect.. The best way to know is to get a datalogger and see at what point you have to run an excessive amount of fuel to keep knock in check.

I have a 1995 eaglet talon awd turbo. at present i have installed a unauothordox racing pully, k&n filter, greddy uppper intercooler pipping. i would like to know what stock boost should be.

I HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT GREEDY TYPE 24 BIG INTERCOOLER, EGT GUAGE, BOOST GUAGE, A/F RATIO GUAGE, THERMAL 3' INCH CAT BACK EXHAUST. COULD ANY OF YOU GIVE ME AN IDEA AS TO WHAT BOOST I SHOULD TURN UP TO AFTER I INSTALL THESE PARTS. ALSO WHAT TIMES SHOULD I EXPECT RUNNING 94 OCTANE?

That's a general newbie question no? 15lbs is normally the max you should run on the stock t25 because anything over that is just hot air. As for the t28, well its the B28 now and I run up to 20lbs on 93 octane currently. I may not run that much once i get my timing curve worked out though. Then again, you I could be wrong :>

Insted of starting a new thread I thought my Q would fit here.

How much boost can I(track) and should I(street) run with a 2g awd, 16G,3in pipe, bov?
I've been running 19~20psi and just killed my timing belt and/or broke a rod. If it matters I live in a high alt state.

Also anyone know a link showing if you have xxx mods then boost =xxx??

OH boy...sounds like a lot of new DSM owners who need some pointers.

Max boost on a T25- 17 PSI. Period. Nothing but hot air after that.

On other turbos, sorry, no easy answer- take your CAR TO THE DYNO. Tune it right and don't blow it up. Spend the money on support mods. There is a MODS PATH TO FOLLOW, proven time and again. People have been doing this for years, learn from their mistakes- it will save you time and money.

Your timing belt will break if you do not replace it every 55,000 or so miles. Read the DSM Manual, you can find it online. TUNE your car safely. Make sure you have the support mods for the bigger turbo...

Sorry, no such animal. Some people may give you pointers as to where to start, BUT- that's only a starting point. Tune it well from there.

Hope this helps.

And for the love of God, guys- check your grammar, spelling and punctuation. It's not that hard, and makes it a lot easier to respond to your threads, questions and postings.

I have similar mods (just add a few) and I run 15psi (street) and 20-22psi(track). I'm stuck on 91 octane though (damn CA CARB) and I'm not willing to push my engine TOO hard.

though I agree that its nothing more then hot air, it still does make power beyond 17psi.. it just doesnt hold power very well.. if you look at my site I dynoed the T25 @ 14, 19 and 21 lbs and you can see I made more power each time.. is it wise NO, but i had all supporting mods done as well

about how much boost can you run before overrunning the stock 1g mass air if it had the free mods done to it. (I know that a high flow air filter isnt free but assume it is for a minute)
