My agp fmic piping isn't long enough. Today I hooked up my fmic and everything lined up to the turbo however the piping from the intercooler to the throttle body isn't long enough. I hooked up the throttle body elbow that comes with the intercooler to the throttle body and the pipe that goes from that to the intercooler is not long enough. It needs to be about 2-3" longer, has anyone else had this problem?

OMG, me too. I thought I did something wrong. I had the elbow on the TB, and the BOV piping going down, but I couldn't get the silicone coupler to attach from the FMIC to the BOV piping. Right now, I had to cut up my stock elbow and jam it in there just to drive the car until I can afford to get another silicone piece. But now that I know I am not alone, I am wondering how many other people have this problem and if enough do, I need to call AGP.

We should both call Monday and see if the can send us another pipe that will fit. I mean we bought a bolt on fmic, if it doesn't bolt on its not our fault.

I agree. Did you have trouble with the TB elbow stud? It took me forever to try and get a nut bolted onto there!!

I bought the AGP t3/t4 turbo kit with it to. That even wasn't a direct bolt on...the exhaust manifold didn't place the turbo far enough from the block, and the manifold made it almost impossible to tighten the top nuts.

No that wasn't a problem the throttle body elbow went in easy with the stock bolts.

How much more piping do you need? I need like 2-3" inches. I mean its not even close.

Sorry guys. We just learned that we had some incorrect pipes go out but we have a quick and simple fix. Just e-mail me @ [email protected] and include the name that you bought the intercooler under, and I'll get the replacement parts out monday 2nd day air you you guys. Every once in a while we screw up.
As for the turbo kit fitting you have to put everything on in the right order and tighten things after positioning them correctly. We test fit each of those so I know those fit for sure.

Kevin I had one more question. The turbonetics wastegate says its got a 5psi,7psi, and 9psi spring. The 5psi spring is in the wastegate does that mean I can only run 5 psi. And will it open without a boost controller or vacuum line hooked up.

ya i cant stand my piping either, ive asked if i could get some type of custom pipe but of course that was turned down so now i have to go spend money to get some new ones made at ams. other then the fitting the fmic is alsome and pipes look good if they fit

What custom piping do you want?

If you have issues with something, call AGP and they will fix it and make it right.

Can't beat that for vendor support. Just went up a few points on my "Who Am I Gonna Buy From" list. :thumb:

well i dont know if you would call it custom but with my uicp for my fmic made with a 3'' gm mas they fit like crap. looks great and the pipes design is alsome but fits like crap and i do not like where the bov and gm mas is located. i would like more of a 90' elbow out of the t/b sense i have no batter in the engin bay then straight down to the endtank so its just a clean flow. i would also like the gm mas mounted right after that bend and the bov mounted in just about stock location. ill post pics of what i have and what i want. jim

but i have bought a turbo kit and fmic kit from them and love both.

this is my pipe and pretty much what i want, another reason is to keep it away from the block and head and rad hose so it could stay cooler. sorry for the alsome art
