Here is a pic of the exhaust side of my turbo, I bought the downpipe from another member on here but it did not fit so I figured I might as well customize it a little. Here is what I did. Let me know what you think.

The turbo came that way.... Didn't have a choice, I picked up the turbo for a good price brand new. Saved a couple weeks and a couple hundred dollars. :thumb: If I recall correctly, the cut housing is supposed to help elim boost creap. I don't think it will have adverse effects, just as long as the exhaust can haul ass outta there, I guess I'll see.

looks good. I wouldn't mind having a downpipe like that when I get my scm61 I think I will cut the divider out of my 2g o2 though instead for a temp fix

never seen anything like that, but i see no problem with it. looks nice.

That's definately a nice looking downpipe. I don't why anyone would fully eliminate the divider between the turbine and WG but at least you know you won't have any creeping.

Yes, that is what i figured also. The other thing to take into consideration is that allthough the wastegate opening will allow air to flow into the turbines exhaust path, it is coming out at a much greater force and flow then the wastegate's air. I do not think it will hinder performance at all but I suppose we will see very soon right. :thumb:
