I have learned a very valuable leason from an unpleasant experience. I recently aquired a Turbonetics Deltagate II Wastegate. Not doing the research I should have done I went ahead and took this POS (was a freebie from a "friend", didnt know just like me so I ont hold that against him) I hooked it up and couldnt get it tuned right it would either open to early or not open quick enough. to top things off teh boost was either creeping like crazy or shooting through the roof. I called Turbonetics where they were somewhat helpful and faxed me a diagram so I hooked it up according to them, now the thing just boost through the roof no matter which way I adjusted it. Thinking maybe the MBC was bad I purchased a regulator (MBC) as they call it and tried that, again boost through the roof. Now being somewhat pissed I try and contact Turbonetics where they tell me to contact an authorized Turbontics dealer due to them not selling to the general public. So I contact the 4 dealers that are in a 500 mile radius from me and guess what all but 1 said the same thing "The Deltagate wastgates are terrible by a Tial". When I asked for parts to fix this they gave me un godly prices. Needless to say let this be another leason to everyone do the homework before jumping in on something that sounds good. Thinking that this was going to be a good wastegate without asking questions and that it being Turbonetics, I figured I was going to have a nice addition to my car. Come to find out it was nothing of expectations. :thumbdown

maybe the one you got is too small for your application? I personally have a tial, but I don't see how a wastegate could "not work" .. it's just as simple as a bov.

Well if you are at all familiar with Turbonetics they sell a 4G63 Exhaust Manifold that is flanged for the Deltagate Wastegate. So to answer your question no its not too small here is the description from Turbonetics:

Designed for durablility, with a 1.250" stainless steel valve, nomex/silcone diaphram and with a unique "stand-off" actuator section, the Deltagate can control boost on engines that develop 300-400HP. With the addition of a Variable Boost Control Regulator (PN 10402) the Deltagate is fully adjustable over a wide boost range.

BTW the damn diaprahm had a 3" tear in it. Thats what the whole damn problem was. :thumbdown
