I want to get an exhaust system but money's tight right now. I was looking at a 3" RnR cat-back but i was wondering if this would bolt up to the stock cat and if I would then be able to go with a high flow cat and aftermarket downpipe without much modification to the exhaust.

Thanks

you sir are in a simmilar boat as i. i got the extreme cat back, and it bolted right up with only a small trim of one of the pipes... but no that i have to addapt it to a 3"catback i may have some troubles. whatever you do try to harm the exhaust as little asposible. or do the cat and cat back at same time and modify your stock downpipe.

I can't answer whether or not the rnr catback necks down to 2.5 at the cat. If it does, no biggie. Once you get your dp and 3" cat then just go check out rre or hrc. They sell the flange adapters for I think around $12. Just cut off the neckdown on your catback and weld on the flange adapter.
