wuts up guys, i'm new to this DSM world i got a 98 gst, so far i'm completely stock so i got a couple of questions for u DSM experts.
1. i heard that stock boost is 8-9 lbs, but i know those turbos could handle around 15lbs safely, i want to run about 12lbs, would that be good enough??
2. i'm looking to get my exhaust done, i want to go 3 inch down all the way thru and eliminate the cats, anyone have any suggestions as far as brands??
3. anyone know any good sites were i can get an intake system and intercooler piping for the stock set up?? (goin fmic soon, but just not now, and im not to fond of those braided hoses)
4. i read on a couple of threads about the MBC, is in recomended over the eloctronic being that i'm runnin the stock turbo right now??
5. do u guys have any other suggestions to give me, (like i said i'm new to DSM'S so i need to be enlightend.
thanx :dsm: :thumb:

Go through the tuning guide, they have a lot of good stuff you can do.

Do your "free mods" first, then move up to an exhaust and all that.

As far as exhaust systems go, its mostly personal preference, but i have heard many good things about the RnR and Buschur systems, along w/ the obvious ones like Apexi and all them.

If you cruise through the catalog most of the stuff you asked about is in there for good prices and they usually give multiple vendors so u can get the best price.

If you wand a MBC, you just have to get a boost gauge, obviously..

Welcome to DSM's, have fun with it

ok, thankx for the advice, i'm sure i'll be back on here posting some more, :D , i'm also hearing some rumors about the stock BOV being a POS and i've been told i should get rid of the first to prevent turbo leaks, that tru?

yes the stock 2g bov is a piece. The best, cost effective way to go is to get a crushed 1g bov.

Oh btw, you shouldn't post the same kinds of questions in different threads. Reposting is irratating, and will result in one of your threads being deleted. It's best off to keep these kind of questions in the general/newbie thread. :thumb:

just to add a little: i hooked up my boost gauge a month ago and it shows i push .8 bar stock. thats around 11.75 lbs of boost with a spike at .9 bar. not exactly 8 or 9 lbs.
