i have a 95 eclipse gsx. The engine had a stock rebuild about 5500 miles ago. the turbo was not rebuilt. when i accelerate hard my friends tell me there is a dark smoke that comes out my exhaust. Also, i notice that after hard driving my oil level is low. I have been thinking of getting a new turbo anyways and i was wondering if anyone had any sugestions. I dont need anything too big, just something for street performance. Thanks

black smoke(dark smoke)= running rich
blue smoke=burning oil
white smoke = bad headgasket, turbo or anything to cause coolant to be burned in the combustion chamber.

Did you have the valve guides and the seals replaced? Also the turbo seals go bad at 75k causing oil loss also but mostlikley its your valve seals/ guides
