ok I am missing on the 4th cylinder (4g63). Checks all the usual suspects, spark, fule, injectors, and wiring, swapped out ecu's plugs spark plug wires injectors checked the usual paths like i said, even adjusted the timing, and flipped the cas 180 degress. still no change 4th is missing, but it is getting plenty of fule and seems to get plenty of spark, (from the wires and the plug) so what next, me and kurtiman and devilsperm spent two hours trying to figure it out, so any thing that could be thought up to figure this out would be great.

also its "seems" not to be missing when at WOT and cruzing around, but at idle.

any answers ( please dont give me the basics that ive done, think of something out of the ordianry that would be wrong) ive checked all the usual....

I have a 2g that had a similar problem. In my case it lost power when I got on it. I did everything I could but couldn't figure it out. It came down to me bringing it to a local mechanic and he hooked it up to a scan tool to see what it looked like with propane running through it. Through the process of elimanation it came down to the injector resistor box. I am just offering it as a similar problem and as a suggestion. Don't forget compression or a leak down test.

will try that, i got to get with brian this weekend or so and get it worked out

Ill chime in to give this a bump and add some more things that we have done.
The injector resistor pack was swapped out, Ecu and fuel pump relay swapped out, plugs, wires, injectors, rail, fpr and cas was flipped...we still need to hook up the other CAS....here is where this gets weird...its definatly a problem with #4...the car will run on each cylinder by itself except for #4...if you try to get it to run on 4 it dies...BUT it has spark AND fuel....Cody, definatly change the fuel filter first...if that doesnt work, bring it back down here and we will try the spare CAS..but if anyone has any other ideas on this please post them up...im willing to bet its the fuel filter but who knows with these damn cars :p

ok heres an update,

changed th plugs wires and got a fule filter, an improvement yes, but perfect no, it still seems to miss on #4, also lost my idler screw, (any one know where to get one ive tried every thing junkyard to dealer ship)....

Brina im calling u tonight just to see if we can change the fule filter asap and fix it...
