I have to buy a new radiator so im going with the Fluidyne. My question is, will i still be able to use my stock fans or will i have to get new ones too?

If I was forking up 400+ for the radiator, I'd find an extra 150+ soon to get some after market fans IMO

Why would you do that, when the stock fan flows more than any aftermarket one you would find?

I agree. Fluidyne rad and the stock fan are a great combo.

My best bud has a Fluidyne in his GS-T coupled with the stock fan. His temp never passes the halfway mark even on the hottest weather. It would be perfect for an FMIC which partially blocks the radiator since DSMs do not have front grilles.

Only thing with the Fluidyne is that it is significantly thicker than stock and would cram a big turbo. If you have a big turbo like a 50 trim, the stock fan might have clearance problems.

I wasn't trying to say the stock fans suck, I just think it would be better to get some slim fans with the aftermarket radiator to solve future clearance issues with a bigger turbo.

The pix's below are of an ART's race radiator in my '90. I'm pretty sure it is thicker than the Fluidyne. It is a full 3" thick. I'll be trying to get the Art's radiator and fans setup this weekend and let you know how it works out utilizing an aftermarket passengerside fan and the stock AC (driverside fan, the metal house'd one). You can check out the fluidyne radiator in a '90 race car on this sites gallery under the name Greg Collier. :thumb:

Damn that ART looks like it just came off a big block! very thick!

You might want to look in a PWR radiator if you are interested in the Fluidyne, because they are very similar if not the PWR better. I have had mine for about 8-10months now and it still looks like new, and the polished finish is very nice.

If I remember correctly it was around 30-40$ cheaper than the cheapest fluidyne I could find on the net. I got it for something around $345-365.
it was quoted at 37mm, but when I got it the core was around 39-40mm.

I got it from mohdparts.com, email him to get the current price. The ones on the website are way off.

I indirectly found this out too, car kept wanting to overheat with a slimline, so I slapped the stocker back in and problems were gone.
