T28 parts swap?

To those of you that are experienced this might seem like a dumb question, but I need to know. A friend of mine has a t-28 turbo that he will sell me for next to nothing. It looks nothing like my stock t25, so I know it won't bolt on, but I've heard of turbos that are t25 's with t28 compressor wheels and other inner parts. Would it be possible to swap the parts from this ball bearing t28 into my stock housing, or would it require the use of a machine shop?

if its a T28 it should be a direct bolt on.. you shouldnt have to change anythign else..

I think its off of of a silvia. It has a mounting flanges instead of direct hose fittings, so it would require parts to be fabricated if I were to bolt it on.

i personally leave the turbo building to the pro's..sorry I dont know anything about the swap..
