I want to get a front mount intercooler! I have stock turbo with injen intake greddy BOV UIP LIP turboxs boost controller SAFCII 3" catback exhaust I wanted to get a Greddy 24R FMIC cause I found one really cheap. My question is will this hurt my performance because of pressure drop or will it help because of cooler air charge. I do want to get a 16G turbo but not right now. Should I get it or spend money on the turbo. :barf: FMIC would look totally sick with my blitz kit but perfomance matters to me also :dsm: Please help me!!!!

Greddy has a little more pressure drop than the other intercoolers, most people complain about the longer piping.

I would say go with on of the new style cores with short route pipes.

Dejon tool
Agp turbo
Slowboy racing
Adfx racing

They all use a similar setup, so I would call around and see which company you want to deal with.

Then start saving the $$$ :thumb:

Well, I JUST upgraded my T25 to an FP-BigT28, and have had my Greddy 18" FMIC installed long before the turbo upgrade, and never had any major issues. A little bit of a jerk in between shifts occasionally (turbo had more room to fill), but it worked nonetheless, and the car drove just fine. I'd put it on if I were you, but then again, that intercooler is a lot bigger than mine, so you might have to have someone with a similar setup give you some more advice.

Get yourself a core off EBAY, and make your own piping. You'll save a ton of money. Oh yeah, that greddy FMIC piping set up is just plain goofy.

if all you are going to do is go with a 16g then the greddy will be more than enough. The preformance if it hurt at all, which I doubt, would be very minimal. It would hurt you more performance wise to heat soak the stock sidemount with the 16g than to run the t-25 on a fmic. I see to many people on here throw on a bigger turbo without supporting mods and then wonder why they are slower than stock. if you already have the uicp/licp and only plan on going with a 16g(hell even a 50trim could stay happy on the greddy for a while) then get the greddy especially if you can get a good deal on one. The greddy 24row is capable of very good numbers it just takes a better tuner to get them, don't fall into the hype that you need the "best" of everything to have a fast car.

I'm in the same boat, had my Greddy 24R on for like half a year now..i love it...gained about 5 cars top end but lost some bottom end ....its definitely worth it, if not so much for performance, for looks! :thumb:
