I just built my new stroker motor. When I started it, I noticed that I was'nt getting any oil to my head. I had 100psi at startup and 50-60 at idle when it warmed up, but none (not even a drop) to the head.I thought that the head gasket might be on backwards, but took it apart and saw that it was'nt. I hooked my impact to the oil pump pulley to see where the oil feed for the head was, and there was plenty that came out. However, there did'nt seem to be a hole that lined up on the head for it. It is connected to the head bolt hole. Where is the oil supposed to go through? Does anybody know why I don't have oil to my head? Also, if It helps, I did the balance shaft removal and a 90 oil filter adapter.

Always, Always, Always do a oil pressure test with the new motor on the stand. Chances are you have an oil galley clogged or your balance shaft bearings are not put in correctly. The other thought is possibly you did not prime the system and you still have air in the oil galleys. Food for thought.

Are you using the 93 7 bolt head on a 6 bolt block? Are you using ARP 6 bolt head studs? If so I know what your problem is. Ill go more in to detail if this is your setup.

with a 7 bolt head and 6 bolt block using arp head studs, you have to drill out the holes in the head. 7 bolt studs are 11mm while 6 bolt studs are 12mm. Using the 12mm studs without enlarging the holes = no oil in the head.

But if you use stock 6 bolt head studs, stock 7 bolt head, 6 bolt block, you wont have a problem.

The stock 6 botl head stud tapers down about 1mm less in diameter in the middle area, this allows more oil through. The arp head stud does not taper down, its almost 11mm diameter the complete length of the bolt.

Try pulling the front pass. side arp head stud if you are using it. And put the stock stud in that corner. Then see if you get oil to your head.
