Need info on VPC

I hear that you can use them in place of your mafs. And you can you air fuel with them. But i also read somewhere that they are not in production anymore. How do you use them to tune? And is the setup worth it?

The HKS VPC is designed to physically and electronically replace OE air metering devices which present a significant restriction to the intake system and offer no adjustment or reprogramming options to take advantage of dramatically higher air flow or larger fuel injectors. 900??? Mine doesn't. It never gets that low, just surges between 1100-1500:laugh:

When you buy from HKS is there any supporting hardware you need. Would it be wise to buy one used. They are kinda expensive.

would you need bigger injectors to run it like the 550 or 660s

As great as VPC works on 1G cars, it simply does not work all that well on 2G’s. If I had a 2G I would look into DSM Link (yes, I know that I still uses MAS) piggyback or AEM standalone.

Did you miss-type and meant to say it does offer adjustment? Gain knob on VPC give you a HUGE rich/lean adjustment capability. Plus there are also idle and response adjustments…
