since i installed my PTE 50 trim non watercooled my oil consumption has gone down the drain.

its taking up a quart or so of oil every 1500 miles.

i was wondering if this has something to do with the non watercooled turbos. could it be getting so hot that its cooking the oil?

my car is not blowing any smoke and very little oil leak.

i bought the turbo brand new also if that matters

any other PTE turbo owners having the same problem?

any suggestion would be greatly appreciated

I have one and am having no problems.
If you have no leaks, it's going out your exhaust.
Could be excessive blow by(sending it out the vc breather or pcv valve and burning it through the engine)
Could be you valve guide seals
Could be so many things.
Compression check?
Leak down test?

Nothing to do with non water cooled turbos.

I agree, that's my only problem. My ORL looks like total ass. I'll have to invest in a stainless steel one.

ORL.

I descided to go SS / AN fittings this time around. vs the normal Hose Style ORL's.

I've heard there was leaking issues in the past. But Our local shop's been installing them on most of there stuff and have had zero complaints so far. They said they they changed some of the parts they were originally using and now they haven't had any problems.

i have a SS oil return line from thespeedfactor. the motor is faily new and dosent have a bad case of blow by. i will look for more oil leaks and/ or ask a buddy to follow me and see if the car is blowing smoke. ( i cant see anything co of the tinted windows)

do you guys have a tiny leak where the pipe fitting goes to the oil filter housing? this is for the SS oil feed line.

thanks

This is the ORL that I use. I use a gasket between the turbo and ORL and also used RTV black gasket seal(high temp stuff).
where it mounts to the oil pan, I used the same RTV and the stock gasket. I do have a small leak where it mount to the oil pan though. I blame myself for that one. I didn't clean the oil pan well(still had oil on the pan). The RTV doesn't stick well when it's oily...LOL
I'll fix that on my next oil change.

On the Oil feed line, I use the same RTV stuff. No leaks at all.
