To anyone with the AGP L2R turbo. How has the results been and what kinda power you makin with it?

Everybody has this turbo and they rant and rave about how great it is, but nobody has gone to the dyno or even to the track...so who knows when we'll see some actual numbers..

R U saying that the turbo will only run good in cool weather? I hope not, because all cars go through the same temps. Do yours have a harder time in, your experiences, in the heat. Is this an effieciency thing or what?

The problem is all turbo's do not run as well in 110 degrees than they do in 80 or 70.

 No that's not what I'm saying at all. All turbo cars run like crap in the heat. AGP turbo is located in the hottest inhabited city in America (Phoenix). We did run 11's first time at the track with the L2R, just after bolting it on. The car was not tuned very well and it was hot as hell outside. We'll put down some real numbers in the next couple months.

Now that the season is over... There must have been some good times ran w/ the "super turbo" L2R...??

I need to see some real numbers from this $1400 turbo....

Otherwise, it looks like I'll go for the solid 20G turbo afterall... which will save me a lot of cash, and also peace of mind, since it's been proven many times!

Thanks!

:)

give me a month and you will see the L2r in the 10's. since i couldn't sell it and go bigger im saying #@%#@%#@%#@% it im going to go ahead and prove what this turbo can do. 10 seconds slips and 600 hp outta of that Biznatch. if you can wait a month ill send you some videos, timeslips, and dyno charts.

kewl.. im all ears..

i still have time to decide which way to go.... it's just that i think i may have an incredible deal on a 20g+FMIC (brand new!)...

So far, the L2R's best times have been with internal wastegates.

AWD 11.47

FWD 11.97

I local guy ran his 1G AWD with the L2R. 25psi, OK tuning, not so great driving, he ran 11.86@118 and a 11.91@121. he's got the full compliment of mods (VPC/AFC/CAMS/FMIC/ETC).

If peace of mind is all your after then go ahead and get the 20G. It will do everything they say it can do in the right hands. In the wrong hands it can be misery.

Your missing the point of the L2R. Sure it can run 30psi but its the boost response that makes it liveable. And don't be so quick to raise the BS flag with by throwing around the "20G is proven many times". Tuning a big turbo isn't for the weak of heart. It's tuff. Heck its tuff to tune a B16G if you don't know what your doing. I installed a ETE32 this spring and it took me all year to get into the 11's. All the while reading the mutt bashing and how this doesn't compare to this or that. I can tell you from direct experience racing against the L1R that AGP knows how to build turbos and the ball bearing center section is for real. There's a huge list of differences but how about never having to "no-lift shift"? Try that with a 20g and see how hard it is to get to the 11's. Ever autocross a car with a big turbo. I did and I would kill for 500rpm quicker spool.

The point is AGP builds great turbos and the comparison between the 20g and L2R is night and day. I'll bet you a $1 if you had a chance to sit in to equal cars, one with and one without BB turbos, you never go back to conventional turbos agian. That is unless all you plan on doing is rolling the car off the trailer at the strip....and even then AGP can get you a monster BB turbo.

Don't be a wuss and fall into the "nobody has numbers trap". Go back and search on the ETE32 and see what everyone said. Then check out how fast its going now. On paper the L2R is even meaner than the ETE32 and both are built with brand new Garett parts in TO4E housings.

By the way...what numbers are you running?

I wasn't attacking you man...

What is it w/ ny'ers? Are you all this sensitive?

I was simply trying to spur up a conversation.

You have some really good info here, and i appreciate it, but please lose the attitude!

My numbers? I just got this car man, i'm researching turbos for my project... is that ok with you?

Thanks for everyone's input.. Keep the good stuff comin'!! :D

I know kevin is going to smack me for this

I went 22.xx@54mph on my L2R :shhh:

I like joking around about it becuase I only got thru 1 and 1/3 gears before the car broke.
