Stock internals/springs/retainers/etc...?

Just got one question...I have a friend that has a stock 2g turbo and is switching to a T4 turbo set up, are the stock internals (pistons,springs,retainers,etc.) going to be able to handle the 15-20lbs that he is going to be pushing? Just curious!!!

I couldn't tell you because I'm still on the pissant-25 but what i can tell you is that you really should have your fuel system upgraded if it is not done so already.

springs and retainers are ok as long as he isnt willing to rev the piss out of it. The stock rods is what you should concern yourself with, however if you're asking this question I'd assume he isnt running anything that wild. Just because you have a large turbo doesnt mean you're putting huge power down, there's quite alot of supporting mods that are needed. Cams, intake manifold, head work, all are things that will really open up the power with a large turbo like that, let alone a FMIC. If he's still running the stock parts he isnt going to be pushing that much, and really the lag created by that turbo wont be worth the power made.
