Need more power but running out of things too do... :(

I have hit a wall. I want a bigger turbo but I'll need a bigger fuel pump and injectors. Problem is my stock clutch will die from the extra power and I also wanna get a lsd when I replace my clutch, but I don't wanna replace my clutch because it's grabbing good still and I won't wanna raise the chance of crankwalk yet.

Looks like if I wanna upgrade my turbo I'll be looking at:
$2000 clutch and lsd install
$150 fuel pump
$400 injectors
$1000 turbo
--------------
$4,000 with other stuff I'll probably need with it

Still owe $4000 on the car so I'm probably gonna wait until I pay the car off before I upgrade the turbo..

I already have:
1G BOV
DSMLink
downpipe+catback
intake with pipe
motor mounts
gauges
mbc set at 15psi

Anything else I can do for some more ponies? I guess I could lean out my car with the dsmlink, right now it says I'm at about 200 wheel horsepower and 208 torque with no tuneing...but I'm not sure how much that t25 has left in it. I've been told 250whp max

You forgot FMIC ;)

As for now, if you're going to wait a while before you buy all that stuff...

I would say upgrade to a supra smic, full upper IC pipes, and do the fuel pump right now. Turn the boost up to 18psi.

Yeah I was kinda debating about a FMIC. Almost picked up a Greddy 18R for $300 but passed it up this spring

I don't trust a t25 at 18 psi, maybe 17psi max.

I guess I'll keep my eyes open for a bolt on SMIC or FMIC again. I remember I crushed about a whole column on the stock smic whilte trying to reinstall the ducting after cleaning the SMIC. Straightened it out for the most part but it's still kinda bad. I'll probably punch a FMIC into tin foil trying to get that thing installed.

Well assuming you probably won't get a new turbo and all that stuff for another few months...finding a supra smic and getting a fuel pump will give you noticable power increase.

As for the 18psi...personally if I were in your situation I would up it to 22 haha. It would be hard to kill the engine with the t25, it's more like worrying about killing the turbo.

And yes the FMIC install was possibly the hardest thing I've done, especially so because I made all of my piping out of U bends.

Yeah, and if he runs 22 psi on that turbo without bigger injectors he will hit fuel cut, and probably blow his head gaskets

You do know the T25 doesn't push enough air to do any damage to the engine right mr noob? And I suggested he upgrade his fuelpump.... even without it he will not likely hit fuelcut. Only times I hit fuelcut when I had the t25 was when it spiked up to 25psi, usually it only spikes up to about 22psi and drops down to 17-18psi.

The t25 can barely blow enough air to blow up a lawnmower, the only concern would be damaging the turbo, but he's buying a new one anyways.

Maybe I'll get a 17psi actuator and find a FMIC since I'm probably gonna go with a t28. How hard are those 17psi wastegate arms to install with the turbo still on the car? Thanks.

New fuel pump $100ish
14b $150ish

You can manage fine on the stock injectors with a 14b, and your clutch will probably be fine :)

Just a thought

Make a good 'intermediate' turbo while you save for injectors/fmic/etc and with a decent tune and some decent driving you can make it into the low 13's or maybe even squeak into the 12's(well I'm going to at least :D )
