Me and my buddy are installing an apex n1 catback onto his 99 gs-t. I was wondering, how bad did you guys have to wrestle to ge that muffler section up through where it goes, we finally got it through, but now we can't hook it in the hangers because no matter what way we turn it, it won't clear that area, does anybody have any suggestions? How high did all of you n1 users have to jack the back up to get that %#!*$#!^ on?
thanks!

come on guys, my friends car is stuck in my driveway, any help would be appreciated.

I jacked my car up and put blocks of wood under each wheel. this let me get under the car and work on the exhaust easily. If you take the time to jack the car up on blocks, it will give you great clearance and it will save you time and headaches in the long run good luck

how high did you have to jack it, i have the front and back all on jackstand, it's over a foot off the ground already......would a huge shop jack work better?

. the blocks underneath my wheels were aboutg a foot high so my car was a little over a foot and a half off the ground. bigger jack might help. jack it up as high as you need it to, so you can get the muffler on
good luck

is there any tricks to get that muffler pipe through that tiny little shitty clearance space?

If you use the jack stands, you should have more than enough room to fit the cat back system underneath. It might get a little tight near the middle of the car next to the cat, but make sure you jack it up enough
to get your chest under. It took me and my friends about 7 hrs to take off the stock cat back due to a rusted cat, but the install went quickly.
Make sure when you put on the N-1 you have a friend hold ot up from the back so you get the fitting right.

Oh yeah, try jacking the bottom of the bumper to about 2.5-3 ft.
It sounds crazy, but it has to be done.
