1G Very Flustered on ordering new block

I am totally ready to order a new block.. i called Slowboy and asked for the stage 1 ($1899) and the front cover kit (179.99)

so aroound 2090 bux

and the shipped quote a I got is 2400

I just cannot bring myself to pay THAT MUCH to ship a block from Indiana to TX.. it just seems outragious..

i dont know what to do...

did any of you have to pay that much for shipping of your block from wherever you got it..

I don't know where you got a quote of $2400 to ship a block but I wish a chemical fire on that place.

I had my old GST shipped from Maryland to California for $770. And that was for an entire car mind you.

Also had FedEx Frieght ship my shortblock from Northern Oregon to south California for $270.

Find another quote......or three.

Just realized you probably meant that was the shipped quote. In which case you need to look up any shipping price. That is reasonable-$300 bucks sounds right on par with everything else heavy I've had shipped.

And they are located in Indiana, PA, not Indiana the state. But that does seem high for shipping, Freight is usually $100-150

300 bucks doesn't sound that bad...It's not like the block is lite or anything...

That might be the shipping cost AND the crating cost. It takes some time to crate up an engine for shipping. I had a short block shipped to me for about $100, but that was only from Michigan to Wisconsin.

well, i just bought iut. got it for 2338 shipped with the front cover installed.. so i came out bette rthan i thought, man, they definatly know their ish over there...
