Okay, I've read that 660-770's with a 16G and a MAFT are do able and I've also read that some have problems with as low as 550s.

So whats the deal? I am going to be running a small 16G with a FMIC and a blow thru MAFT-LS6 vented. Will the 660's, 60# injectors be tunable? I'm not looking for huge power, I'd like to get up to 20PSI on 91 octane. But after tuning...

It's much more important to have a car the wife can get into everynow and then and not come back saying "I think somethings wrong with your car" I don't want stumbling, and rough idle, big timing advance, etc...

So will the 660's work with a 16G FMIC and 20PSI and still give good off throttle performance when tuned with the MAFT?

Would it be reasonable to run 650's? Just to have a cushion for the 91 octane. Or is that overkill? I got the 650's-660's number off a vendor site. I can't remember which but they had a work up of octane vs. boost vs. turbo... Maybe RRE? Anyhow if I'm right the recommended injectors were 660's.?. Can those be tuned to keep good drivability? Using just the MAFT and fuel pressure to tune for now.

BTW I didn't mention, AFPR, 255HP, 1G BOV(w/Dejon leak stop kit), turbo back, possibly with an electric dump, and I'm thinking about a TB conversion. Supporting "mods" and a given in my book, but still worth mentioning I guess.

Why would you go through all the trouble of using a Gm 3" MAF when your 2g stock MAF will flow enough air to keep you away from FC.????

At first I was thinking you were asking because you had a NON-recirculated BOV, then I notice you have a 1G BOV.

I daily drive my 98' GSX with a Big28 on 18-20psi with FIC 650 injectors, and my mods are damn near your except for the FMIC.

I ran a 13.40 @ 101 a few weeks ago. Car idles great at 750 +/- 40rpm, with the AC on it idles around 850 and pulls 13-14 Hg vacuum.
No AC I get around 16-18 Hg vacuum.

I think you would be going out of your way for the MAF, unless you are running a 50 trim or bigger and want some serious power.

S16G's have been proven to 350hp.

Your decision though.
My vote goes for SAFC and Datalogger and 650's.

I am not interested in the draw through setup, to many down falls, that is why I'm going to the GM sender. I got the 1G before I went for the blow thru. I'll probably be switching to a Tial soon. This is basically a Stage 1... If the wife and I still like the car after this work is done and it does well again in the winter, we'll probably go for stage 2 (built bottom end, rebuilt trans, DSM Link, bigger snail) next spring.

I don't want to ever have an S-AFC.. Just too much bling. But I will go for the 650's.

Thanks for the input, more is welcome,
Sam
