I just installed my AGP 2G intercooler kit and decided to share my experiences with it so far so here it goes:

Two Months ago i decided to get rid of my GReddy Fmic because not only does it have so much useless piping that i dont think any of our cars need but it had been dinged pretty bad due to road conditions. So i decided to search around i was initially trying to get a IRC Kit but couldnt log on to their website, then i checked out my friends PSI street Core and tought it was an OK kit just a little out there as far as pricing. Then one day i log on here and saw the AGP Kit and checked it out it seemed to be the right kit for me since it was shorter than any of ther other ones(IRC, PSI) and it was at a more reasonable price with the larger Spearco Core. I bust out the credit Card gotta love MasterCard :D Call AGP a few times(must of been real busy cause i couldnt get them on the phone) left a message so they would call me back. A few days later i get a call back and place my order with Cortney very nice gal takes all my info down and tells me that my intercooler will arrive in two weeks. 3 Weeks later NO INTERCOOLER KIT  so i pick up the call and call AGP again dont get a call back till a day later because i left another message. I talk to another representative there and he tells me that i will have to wait 4 weeks for my kit since the cores from Spearco are on backorder OMG . I was very upset since i had been promised a intercooler two weeks prior to purchase but talked to the guy and he informed me that he hadnt charged my CC yet so i was free to order anything else since it wasnt within his power to get me a core earlier. Me being the understanding guy that i am told him that i would wait for the kit to arrive. FINALLY the kit arrives 5 Weeks Later i open the box and the quality of it is Outstanding HUGE Spearco Core Nice piping and even a Leak Tester which i wasnt expecting. Very Nice kit Indeed(at this point im thinking to myself that the wait for was worth it) just no instructions  I figure how hard can it be so i start pre fitting pipes and core since there is no holes drilled on the core. Seems like this is gonna be harder than i tought u have to relocate the coolant bottle as well as cut a hole just left of the radiator so the pipe can fit thru. I get out a saw cut the hole out get the drill out some drill bits start measuring for clearance as i notice that u have to get rid of your reinforcement reinforcement brackets foglight brackets and fogs. Everything needs to go there is nothing to be there i even had to cut the metal part where the bumper screws up at the top since the intercooler will take some of that space too. Please take note that this is not a 2-3 hour job so save a good day my Greddy took me 30 mins to install so i was expecting something close after dealing with drilling and fitting which took the most time i finally get everything mounted start putting on pipes and couplers everythign went smooth after that since i didnt have to recut my bumper(EVO). I did run into a problem none of the intercooler pipes seem to have a niple on them for me to connect my Greddy Profec B to so im gonna have to have one either tapped or weld it to it. I fired the car up and everything runs fine this kit is defenatly a great kit and a great value i guess the wait was worth it to a point i wish i would of gotten some intructions and a nipple i need but other than that the kit is flawless. Performance the car seems to spool up quicker due to the less piping that air has to travel thru comared to the GReddy 24R, im very happy with the kit and will be posting pictures here soon. Feel free to pm me with any questions and sorry for the post being long.

Damn you Rudy!! Sounds nice man! I wish I had an FMIC, let alone an FP turbo. But what can I say, we cant all whip out the mastercard and purchase an AGP setup. (Bastard) :D

Any more top end? Just a spool up increase?

I havent yet had a chance to nail it full throttle 20psi because i need to put that fitting in pipe for the boost controller but once i do ill let u know how the top end is. :thumb:

Yes u can use the stock Fans the piping i was told was made with the intention to keep the stock fans.

I LOVE MY MasterCard :D

99% of people don't hook up a boost controller to the IC pipe which is why I'm not surprised it didn't come with anything for it.

P.S. They are always extremely busy which is why when you call you need to leave a message and you will get a call back.

I have this kit and it's great. I 've never had another FMIC to compare it to though. Very nice quality all around. My only complaint was the sheet metal screws that they include to attatch the IC with are crap. I just replaced them with a couple of bolts and called it a day.

this is yet another intercooler kit on the internet with no pics of the install. if you can please take pics of the entire setup before you reinstall your bumper?

I just got the AGP intercooler kit today also, I installed it this morning. I had mine setup for a 3" gm mas after the bov, and I dont think they had done this before. The lower upper ic pipe was maybe an inch too short, but Ill jsut buy a longer coupler and it will all be perfect:) No big deal.

Mine didtn come with any mounting screws, I jsut went and got some self tapping screw from Napa (bigger ones, 3/8" head, not 1/4") and put 2 in each of the side mounts, and to in the front. I did have to bent back the top mount on the ic to match the angle of the latch/bumper support thing. But that was easy also.

I really dont have any complains about the ic kit, It fit pretty well, the powdercoating was excellent, and so was teh packaging.

When u have an external wastegate u need to tap into the intercooler pipe for that T fitting going from the profect B to wastegate so i needed that and was surprised to see that the greddy had 2 nipples for it and the AGP none.

Mine didnt come with any screws at all i was hoping it did so i had to take a trip to the hardware store but no biggie on that.

Im not making a big deal about any of this just stating my experience so that people who decide to buy it wont be surprised by any of this when they receive it.

OH and my CC is payed off :thumb:

Then i dont get why its so great of a thing?

THis guy is my cousin. I was just giving him a hard time cause I know all about his car and what he has gone through to get it to where it is. The whole Credit Card thing was me spitting envy at him because mine is maxed out. It's really not that big of an issue, I just felt the need to poke at him cause he is family and I can do that. :thumb:

I've had this kit for a few months now and I love it. Felt increase in power throughout my car's entire powerband. I don't have any pre-post dyno runs to compare but I have put down 260fwhp/275tq at 14psi with a Big16G with this kit. You are able to keep both stock fans. Just the coolant overflow bottle has to get moved to anywhere else besides the stock location. I also have some install pics if anyone wants to see how it fits.

Yep, but the kit comes with a new overflow bottle.

I also had to relocate the horn, it was in the way under the drivers headlight area, I mounted it between the radiator and support beam back there. Took a whole 45 seconds.

How much clearance do you have above the bell housing on the Transmission from the upper pipe that connects to the throttle body... ?

My 3" gm mas is pressed down onto the tranny housing actually. But it doesnt interfere with the shifter cables at all.

But the upper pipe probly has an inch or so of clearance.

Thanks for the reviews guys. We have more core assemblies ready to go. Lead time from order is less than one week, depending on your piping and BOV preference.
