can anyone tell me if a hks fuel cut defencer is worth it? or is it a waste of money?

i only want to know about this part, no other products, so please answer only about this product.

thanks,
john

if you are trying to get around boost cut it will work. if you are hitting it with no afc good luck at keeping you motor running much longer, i have heard some people say they remove the lower honeycomb and that worked to becareful at what you are doing

Since you have a 1g, you can pull the lower honeycomb.

Don't use the FCD. It caps your airflow and the car will lean out.

im not hitting fuel cut at all. i was looking in a import magzine and they had a 1g talon stock w/ 186 whp. then they put on a N'1 down pipe , holly fuel pump and the hks fuel cut defencer pulling out 290 whp. they siad the hks fuel cut defencer help out alot and gave the talon around 60 whp just buy adding it. remember, im not trying to act like i know everything about dsm's, but i saw this in the magazine and they dynoed this. but acouple of ppl said this is hks defencer gives out the same amount of whp as the AFC does. and i heard the only way it wont lean out is when u have the supporting fuel mods just as the fuel pump and also injectors.

im not trying to come off as a newbie asshole like some ppl do thinking they know eveything when they really dont. but this product to me is very questionable because i can get this for $106 instead of paying $319 for the s-afc.

please reply w/ ur guy's wisdom about this so i know what would be great for my 1g.

that article/dyno was BS. first off, a brand spankin' new 1g will NEVER put out 186whp on it's best day. second, fuel cut is there for a reason. add more fuel and tune, not take away the fuel you already barely have.

Yeah i was reading that article and it seems that they pulled 186 whp with the exhaust, but what i wanted to ask is it really posible to pull 290 whp with just turbo back, mbc, and fuel pump. ????? But i removed my honeycomb out of a mas and it seems to work fine for me. I'm boosting 14-15 psi on stock fuel system and i havent ran into any problems yet. :thumb:
