Is my turbo blown???

Wassup guys...i think the dsm bug has struck again ,this time i think its my turbo that needs a rebuild ,when i drive my car lets say i got a little over 4500 RPM this scratchy sound comes from the engine bay althought the car runs the same its making a scratchy sound,one time it sounded like i got a fork and started scratching at an empty plate it only happens when i take it past the 4500-5500 range,before that it sounds normal, a nice soft spool; i poped the hood last night and had a couple friends listen in and they said it was coming directly from the turbo....could this be it for my turbo or could it be something else?? what do u guys thinK?..

pull ur intake pipe off and see if there is any shaft play in the turbo. that will answer your question.
