Hey guys. I plan to get all digital gauges for my readouts and I wanted to know which gauges you guys like/prefer. I realize that digital gagues are quite expensive, and I am not asking what the cheapest gauges are. What I am asking is what are the best/most accurate gauges for the money. Also if you are going to list specific gauges, please also provide the website to them if possible. Thanks. Also I want to get the gauges all made by the same company, I dont like gauges from a bunch of different people. So please make sure the company sells more then just a boost gauge or something.

Now please do not start telling me that I dont need digital gauges or that they are a waste of my money. No offense, but I am not asking you for your opinion on if I need them or not. I am asking you which digital gauges are the best ones to look into getting. Thanks a lot.

VDO makes nice digital guages though I can not seem to find them on their website. www.vdona.com and Stewart warner makes a cool digital shift light http://www.sw-performance.com/

My beef with digital gauges is they do not change fast enough for you to tell really what is going on and when they do change fast the number gets blured and is hard to tell what it acctually reads. If you have ever seen a digital tach on a car thats reving fast it really is not easy to tell what the RPM is at a particular point. It's for this reason that mechanical gauges are still the choice of most people because they are easier to read, react faster and cause less confusion. If your going down the track and feel a slight hesisitation from your car and you wanna look at oil pressure, if you have a digital gauge it's gonna be hard to read the number vs. just looking for a needle thats gone or going down.

I have driven cars with both and acctually found the digital to be annoying and removed and sold them. This is the only reason why I tell you this is because I have been there done that, and wish somebody told me this upfront before I layed out $300 for 4 gauges which were a bi*** to sell later on (for half the price I might add)

Just my .02 ..

Thanks for the advice! Now that is actually something to consider.. I just didint want someone saying "mechanical gauges do the same thing for a lot cheaper, get those." However, I had not heard of the digital gauges not changing fast enough. Nor had I heard/considered them being hard to read becuase the numbers will change so quickly. Does anyone else agree with this? And thanks for the advice on the digital gauges to get WITH the PERSONAL EXPERIENCE from using them. That is exactly what I am looking for.
