it looks kind of small... but, I guess it cant be worse than the smic.
 you ever seen one in real life? LOL they are decent sized and if you can do the pipe routing it would be WAY better than the smic

Putting almost any other intercooler on would be way better that stock. Especially if it's front mount. If you can get a good price i would definately go for it.

I am sure it will be better than a smic but the question is is it worth the cost. Remeber unless you can make your own pipes that is going to cost 2-3 bills. Add that to whatever you are getting the core for. I am sure you can find a good used fmic for sale 4-500 bucks that will blow the srt unit away. If you can weld your own pipes and the core is cheap/free then why not. Or if you can pick up the core for free you can have someone do some pipes for you it will probably be worth it. I would pick a used griffen/spearco core over the srt4 core any day of the week.

The SRT-4 intercooler IS A SPEARCO! The reviews on the Neon SRT-4 by several magazines say that the stock intercooler would be just about the last thing you would have to replace. It flows well enough for almost any street application. If you can get one to test fit it and figure out how difficult it would be to mount it and make the piping, go for it.:thumb:

Unless I had one sitting around the house, I'd go ahead and get a proper kit for my car with all the piping, flanges, etc. Chances are, you'll spend the same amount of money (for one that fits and flows more I might add).

I don't know where you got your information, but the factory IC from the SRT-4 is not a Spearco.
