I have a few questions about a talon i recently bought. I am in the process of doing a head gasket on it. I went with the mitsu. 4 layer metal gasket. I noticed this is kinda thick and was wondering how much I should have milled off the head. I am definatly getting it milled at least a little because of the gasket being blown and the aluminum head getting a little hot (it went to 230 degrees and the water in it was boiling). Another question is that I bought this car and someone has rigged the stuff on the front of the engine. It has a balance shaft removal kit which is fine. But it is missing the smaller belt that goes on the front of the block and the pulley that goes on the bottom left (looking at the engine from the drivers side.) They have siliconed over this and i can't even see what is there, but there definatly is a oil leak somewhere on the front of the engine. Any help would be appreciated.
