resurfacing the head

my head needs to have .008" machined off of it. but i think that it has been resurfaced once before. does anybody know how much can be removed. if it had .008 removed once before and i take off .008 that could add up.

do you realise how small of a fraction of an inch that is...... believe me you got alot of resurfacing before its been too much

Yeah I wouldn't worry too much about it. Worse case scenario: You have milled too much off the head and now your cam timing will be off-just buy adjustable cam gears.
