Asking about turbo FP big 28 cause there is one for sale with only 300 miles. I have 1990 1G engine but I can get 2 G manifold.
What do you thinking about that turbo?
it is good choice or not. Heared that id smaller than 16b big and bigger than 16g?
Want relable 300-330 hp on crank with it.
What is limit that turbo?
Any comment will be welcome
btw
it is clipped and full ported by FP
it is worth some more hp too?
Jerry

I personally would just buy from forced performance if you want the big 28. They are willing to answer any questions you may have. There is always the possibility that you will scammed. Just my $.02.

It is a bolt on 2g turbo so it will not bolt right up to your 1g...gonna need to do alot of hacking to make it work. Might as well just buy a used 16g, would make things alot easier.

yes, you have right. better will be bolt on 16g...
but there is Poland OMG , not US and there is no that turbos at all!!!
If I will have 2G manifold what another problems will be tomake it work on 1G engine?
btw
Hear that 2 G manifold is better than 1G (better flows and do not crack) and bolt on to 1G head.
FP 28 will not bolt to 1G manifold?
looking at vfaq at exhaust section and that 4 bolt holes that holding turbo to manifold looks same pattern and distance to each another in 2G as in 1G...

You can bolt a Big T28 easily to a 1G motor.

You have to do some monkeying with the water lines, but other than that, it's no big deal. I reccomend getting a braided stainless oil feed line though.

Simply use a combination of 2G water lines and cut the 1G water lines up a little bit and they'll hook right up. My car's been fine for the past 6k miles on the sixbolt swap with NO WATER LEAKS

Hooking up the waterline to the head.

Lower water lines.

So basically you're slicing the funny "U SHAPED" under water line that comes off the main water pipe, and then using stock T25 water lines that you can get anywhere easily. Good luck.

Edit: And the drain lines fit up exactly the same.

I would just look around for a 16g. I mean it would be a direct install and the same amount of power so why not? You could probably find them cheaper too.

HEY! :D
There is Poland!!! No g16, g18, g20, evo iii and another funny things.
That FPbig28 is my friend who buy new 20G and have it for sale after only 300 miles as his tranny was broken.

That FP28 will bolt on to my 1G exhaust manifold?
or MUST have 2G manifold?
Jerry

it will bolt on to a 1g manifold, but water oil lines and such are different, so are you trying to say that you don't want to buy a turbo, and have it shipped to europe from usa?? also, doesn't europe have lancer evo's?? the lancer 3 came with a 16g, a 16g would be a direct bolt on for your 1g engine (and possibly more power easier, but i'm not getting into a debate on that!), you could probably find one in a wrecking yard or something, then you wouldn't have to ship it from usa to europe, i would be only a few countries or something like that, at least not across the ocean.
