general trans question

I had my trans rebuilt and it's just been sitting in my garage for a while now. I finally installed it and put fluid in it a few days ago and I notice its drippin from the bottom. I can see the silicone where the 1 part of the casing is connected with the other and it appears it's leaking through a little hole in the silicone or something. Is there anyway to "ghetto" fix it until next time I change my clutch? I really don't want to pull the trans for this. Thanks.

yea but will that seal just putting it on from the outside? I DON'T wanna have to take the trans off and take it apart.

It should just get it up in the crack.

ok I will give it a shot. Do I have to drain the fluid and loosen the bolts or just put it on from the outside and hope it works?

Drain the fluid and try to clean inside the crack if you can. Then put in enough rtv so that it will make a very small bubble on the inside. This will keep it from blowing out.
