Question regarding cams, tuning, and injectors.

I'm not sure how the whole fuel injector system works and I have a few questions. This is what I think and correct me if im wrong.

Basically the intake valves open then the injectors start to spray until the proper amount of fuel if sprayed, the intake valves then close.

When the injector duty cycle is 100% this means that the injectors a spaying constantly until the intake valve close, even thought the proper amount of fuel might not have had enough time to spray the amount of fuel needed.

If one would upgrade the cams does this screw everything up or does the cam sensor pick up the new set of cams and knows when the valve strart to open and close..?

The fuel injectors do not dictate how long the valves are open, the valves are only open for a certaian amount of time and the injector has to spray the fuel in that amount of time, measured in milliseconds.

If you swapped in different cams this would most likely make you have to tune it so you can get a smoother idle and such.

A 100 percent duty cylce means it is on all the time.

Any correct em if I am wrong please.
