 i have a 95gsx and i have 122000 miles on my engine. i was thinking of getting a jdm cyclone engine or maybe rebuild mine or build a new one with a 1gblock and intake,a nd 2g head and exhaust manifold. i dont know which i should do and what would have the least problems. i just wanted some oppions and suggestions.

thanks

why would you want a 2g head? The cyclone engine is the same thing just the intake is bigger...build up your block and put a 1g head, you wont regret that. Or if you dont have the $$ then P&P your head and intake and replace your stock tb for a 1g TB wich is 60mm compared to your 52mm stock one.

Current theory is that you can make the 2g head flow much better than the 1g.

I would definitely recommend a 6bolt block rebuild with 91 rods and 95 pistons capped off with arp head studs. That would make for a motor more than capable of what most people’s goals are.

The cylcone engine is NOT the same thing as a 2G engine. It is a 1G engine that was in the JDM Galant VR4.

The 1G head will flow more air out of the box but it is very inefficient at getting the air to the combustion chamber. The 2G head is a much better design but in the unported form flows less. Its all part of the "More torque" attitude in the 2G design.

The problem is that we can only judge by what you type. We aren't mind readers. If we were, "chat boards" would be useless. Type what you mean.

Yes its a pet peeve of mine for a reason.
