Just got my Injen Intake Kit

So ya ^. Not very pleased with the quality as the polished turbo inlet pipe has a few nicks and nacks in it. Doesnt look like they were caused by impacts tho, just some metal defects. Overall tho pretty cool I'm excited to install it this weekend. Oh and boy is the turbo inlet pipe filthy on the inside or what? Good thing I checked.

What did yall think of your Injen?

Yeah my injen was scuffed up also. The inside was not as smooth as i would have liked either. But if did off me around 1 tenth off of my 1/4 times. Which isnt bad. It adds noise to your turbo also. You will like it more when its on the car. No real power gains until around 3k rpms and on over 12psi tho.

So you noticed a difference with the Injen. I have been trying to figure out how restrictive the 2G rubber intake pipe is and whether replacing it will make a difference on the set up I already have. I have a K&N filter and cut dump tube already. My question is will going with a steel pipe like the Injen or Dejon's make a difference?

Somepeople claim nice gains with the Injen intake, but I wonder if it is because now they dont have their dump tube restricting them.

So if you already have had a filter and dump tube cut, then replaced the rubber snorkel, I want to hear from you!

If you did it all at once I dont, because I know just cutting the tube will give a good gain and increase turbo noise.

well i know my car sounds like a jet after puttign on the injen... look at that stocker looks like an acordian, that cant be good, plus a dupetube cut is still restrictign it, not so with the injen, its just welded on the side, very nice in my opinion

i was pleased with my injen intake. it made the turbo sound nastier and the bov louder. i could hear the turbo spool up and i thought that was the coolest sound in the world.

i am very pleased with mine. i just got mine/put it on yesterday. can really hear the BOV and turbo much better now. plus, ya can hear it suck in the air too. its a great sound/feeling.

Are there some turbo's that you cant use he Injen on? Or will it fit onto any turbo?

well you can use it on any but its not recommended for anything with an inlet size over 2 1/2.. the Injen pipe inlet is 2 1/2 which is same as T25, Big28 etc etc.. with larger turbos you should have a larger inlet.. my inlet on my turbo is 2 3/4 so my intake pipe is 3" now from Dejon

i'm still running the stock accordian inlet pipe.. though i have a 5" cone filter.. how much is the injen system anyways? if your planning to get a big turbo in the future you could just get the dejon 3" inlet pipe and use a reducer to fit the t25. which is something im THINKING of doing.

if your planning on getting a big turbo in the future the dejon tool 3" is the better idea to do it right the 1st time.. but if you were going to stick with the T25 or T28 then the Injen is a nice piece.. I can sell em for 205 shipped.. 180 shipped for just the pipe

Well, after killing a good chunk of Saturday, I've finally installed my Injten Intake Kit along with RRE UIP and 1g BOV. Very happy with results. I feel like driving around all day letting my turbo spool up and bov go off. Extra bit of power is also felt which is a nice bonus. You can check out some pics in my gallery.

What about for the 16G, is the Injen fine for that setup?

Its marginally larger than a T25. About 1/4" larger. The injen will fit a 16G perfectly. On a T25 you have to use the black spacer in the original accordian hose over the inlet.

no injen pipes are only avlabler in polished silvery look it looks nice it says in jen in red an a k and n filter with a red cap on it looks really sharp www.injen.com

actually your wrong.. you can get them in red or blue anodized as well..
