air intakes

Just a quick question about replacing the cone or the entire intake. Obviously most full intakes are aluminium so they don't get as hot as fast. Is this the only difference? Also would you notice a significant difference between a 5" cone and say a Injen aluminium one peice setup?

Most eople replace only the filter at first. then buy the instake pipe later. Also if you plan on getting a turbo with a 3inch inlet the Injen will not work.
