EGT Guage question

hey guys

just have a quick question, around when should you put on an egt guage. I don't have any major mods yet but i want to get an uicp and bov so i can turn up the boost, then probably a fulll exhaust. So should i save up for this guage before i get the pipe and bov or will i be able to put it off for awhile

if this has been discussed before sorry but egt is under the minimum letter limit of 4 or some crap lke that

EGT doesn't need to come until you start getting injectors and an AFC or other fuel computer.

U do have a boost gauge right?

yep i have a boost guage, injen intake, short shifter and turbo timer. now i hopefully can get to the fun stuff

My advice is to go ahead and get the egt and bov (1g). uicp can wait. Its good to monitor things.

i disaree.. I think having gauges to monitor things is very important.. the first thing I did for my car was get my EGT and Boost gauges

EGT helps monitor only one thing, EGTs! but how you read it is important, it tells you alot, well it reads only in temp, high. low. or just right. With this info, you can troubleshoot problems in motor.
