hi i was wodnering what pple think about this "pod".

1.Does neone have this with A/C?

2.Does it block the A/C entirely?. Because i know in some cars when you close 2 vents the other vents blower stronger. Is this was happends with this pod.

3. Did you like it...or would you of rather got a 2 gauge a pillar pod?

I was thinking of getting this becuz i would think it would be a lil harder to steal my SAFC..if it was inside my dash. alos it would look alot nicer...But i really don't wanna lose my ac....so my Question is ....do u think i should get this....thanks

I have seen that pic somewhere before.. ;)

Blocking off the middle vents do make a difference. IMHO with the air coming out of the side vents and the floor vents is plenty for me. The only way that I can see of this being a problem is if you have people in your back seat and the AC on. You will have less air flow. You really cant compare the 2 gauge pod, becuase this holds the AFC. I think it looks really good and it is very functional.

anyone seen anything like that for a 2g??? some guy on dsmtrader makes and sels them, ive emailed him a couple of times but he hasnt responded so im lookin else where. any help would be appericated

I have the same setup and I like the idea and the look but the damn thing keeps falling out. It's just a press fit and over time it'll just keep falling out whenever you get on the gas. I even tried using hot glue to keep it in but it doesn't work.

thanx for the help guys.....So wait....so ur tellin me that all you have to do ....is press on it...n my $300 SAFC falls right out....so i guess it won't help protect it(from being stolen)....owell but it looks nice i think i'm ganna go with it

i have the same set up, but i have a AVC-R in the vent. i made the bracket out of plastic and the look is just like the picture you have posted. i used a small amount of plastic glue i got at home depot to keep it in place. it has not popped out, even on hard takeoffs. only downside is the vents are less efficient, but if you use vent+floor the car cools off quickly.

Yeah, prepare for the thing to fall out. I don't know how many times my AFC has fallen out and bounced off my shift knob. I've also punched it plenty of times at the track shifting into third after it falls out. I must say the AFC has held up pretty good.

i had my friend to make one for me all we did was trace the air vents on a sheet of abs plastic and put a little bracket on the back where it would have some support oh we also double it for some more support. i had 3 gauges in mind.

-I made my out of 3/16 thick plexi glass, the piece is sucure with 2 long screws, have 3 gauges on it. Just down the window if you need more air, A/C drain too much HP.

The S-AFC fits in there pretty tight. I havent had myne fall out yet actually. This one is from Turbo Trix. Did anyone mention you need to do some removal of the pastic mounts with a dremel tool? Its not a big deal, but its worth mentioning.

HMM..those are nice but I need the AC too much. just side a floor doesn't help when it's 112
