I am going to build my motor if I get enough cash but with the list below am I going to be missing anything?

Wiesco pistons-Eagle rods-celvite bearings (sp) both main and rod
arp bolts
ngk plugs and acell wires
big 16g ported
full 3inch exhaust
recondition head
topline full gasket set
upper IC pipe upgrade
still have the SMIC-stock, but cleaned out
and all of the other little free things boost controller ect....
:dsm:

Do you have any mods to your car right now?
I'm a firm believer of buying all the supporting mods BEFORE upgrading the turbo.
The 14b can go farther then most people think.
Other than the engine mods that you are doing I would do

Fuel Pump
Injectors
Logger
S-AFC
Intake
Bigger IC
LICP
FPR
etc
once you have all the supporting mods upgrade the turbo.

BS elimination, T-belt water pump, oil pump (at leist check clearances), check motor mounts, maybe do a clutch while the motor is out, clean the engine bay really well and eliminate as much as you legally/physically can, you will need rings, ARP head studs plus everything that was already mentioned...

The pumps I do have and same for the timing belt I have heard good and bad things about the BS elimination.

And as for the things that I have and have a big 16 I got the turbo and a lot of other things for 650.00 from a friend so i said wht the hell might as well use it.

The 14b that I have might be shot my car had started smokeing a lot and it didnt seen like the turbo had any more.

A clutch i have allready done in the car.

Go 50 trim.

Not much more than the 16g.

You can get them reasonable new and about EVO 16g's price used.

I'm looking at alot of rods lately..

SCAT rods look good too.

Crank Knife edging will cut weight from the crank and decrease losses form the crank smacking oil around in the pan.

It has little to do with balance shafts at all.

Balancing on an inline 4 reciprocating assembly has little nothing to do with the balance shafts.

The balance shafts just cancel out secondary vibrations inherent in a inline four that NO DEGREE of engine balancing can eliminate.

Eliminating the BS prevents a BS belt from fouling the timining belt should it break. That is the main gain. A secondary gain is less weight to drive.

Also all that is done on an inline four to balance an engine is to make sure all four pistons (with pins and rings) weigh the same and that the big and small ends of the connecting rods weight the same.

Aftermarket rods are ready to go and matched. Aftermarket pistons and pins are so close to being dead on it is silly.

Thanks for the notes if there are anything else please let me know
