I am currently doing a 4g63 6bolt motor swap into my 99 Eclipse Gst.

I was wondering if any one can tell me what 2G sensors on the engine harness will I still be using and which sensors will not with the 6bolt motor. There are quite a lot of extra connectors and sensors that are on the 7bolt motor that don't seem to be on the 6bolt I’m installing.

Also, if anyone knows what the sensor is that is on the back of the intake manifold on a metal bracket. Or knows how to hook up the Vac lines to the 2G engine from the 6bolt motor I would appreciate.

I have the job half way done. I just wanted to make sure before. I get it finished and not hook up something right.

Thanks!!!!

I don't know the answer but I am sure that if you used the search function you will find all your answers as this has been covered many times before.

magnus or taboo should have the info youre asking for in this thread.

If you are talking about the little silver object on the inake manifold it is there to cancel out electromagnetic distortion from the coils. That is why we don't get any RPM interference in our radios.

Hell Ezzard, he's right up the road from ya... you should stop in. Does Duvall county still do emissions tests? If so, too bad. Register the car in clay county and don't worry about emisssions, just take all that crap off. But seriously, during the week that I spent doing the entire swap by myself, I had every printout known to man for this swap with me, must've been at least 50 pages in my car, and i still couldn't make sense out of half of it, espcially when I was putting everything back together. Fortunately there was a guy in the bay next to me who'd already done the swap, so I could just look at his car for reference. But I was putting in a jdm motor so there was a bunch of little complications that arose that I didn't foresee. So if you can't find anyone local to help you out, sorry... ya gotta hit the books. It's all pretty much there. Best of luck to ya.
