Ok my plan this summer is to keep things cool. Heres what it involves: redline water wetter and prestone coolant with 180 thermostat, and heat resistant wrap for my intake and intercooler pipes along with a aluminum block off for the filter. The wrap is supposed to block out 98% or more outside temps, and with the block off for the filter I believe the stock intercooler will be able to push 14psi on my ported and clipped big16g. The water wetter is supposed to cool the coolant up to 30 degrees and prestone has always treated me right. I know wrapping may seem over board but if your ever opened your hood on a winter day(let alone a summer day!!) its freakin hot, so I think the extra cooling for the pipes will help the intercooler not heat soak. The coolant is a must have and overlooked it when I purchased my car.
Anyways what do you guys think? Oh and where can I get a 180 thermostat?
