What to do with 1500 bucks.

ok at this point im kinda in the middle of deciding between thses two turbos.

evo16g no install kit

super 16g with the whole install kit.

the evo would be 380 + shipping and the super 16 450 shipped. how muhc would it cost to make the evo work on my car?and also once i get this turbo where should i spend the reast of my cash on? i was thinking a EGT gauge, 3 inch exaughst, fuel pump, injectors, and a SAFC

just give it to me.

evo 16g.

I would go with the super 16g and the intall kit just to make things a bit easier as for the rest of the money you seem to be on the right track with the exhaust and fuel system. The only thing i would suggest if you haven't done it already is a compression test just to make sure your not going to be blowing that extra boost right by your pistons

EVO 16G and DSMLink
If you don't have a laptop you can pick up one capable of running DSMLink for less than 100 on Ebay

well im in agreence with the rest . If you have any money left over donate some to dsmtuners.com by buying apperal or buying the complete fuel kit from one of the vendors.

Great deals are to be found on this site.Remembere if you cant seem to find any thing with the vendors (wich could only be impossible) then the classifides are also a great place to shop.

Every body their is great and dont want to be given a bad name so great deals are to be found like evo 3 turbos for example:rolleyes:

peace and be good.

Want to save money and go far? For 1500$ get this stuff:

Evo III 16G 380$ ( your price )
Turbochargers.com Install kit 200$ ( oil return and feed w/ J pipe and gaskets )

Walbro 190 w/ Rewire 150$

RNR or other turboback 700$

EVO III 380.00
DOWNPIPE 200.00
CAT BACK 500.00
WB 190 100.00

Search the classified in the forums for a 1g outlet and oil return(you can just open up the holes on your 2g oil return tube if u have a dremel) Keep an eye out for everything u need in the classifieds. You can also save money on your exhaust if you will just go to a muffler shop and get a custom 2.5" That shouldn't cost you much at all, you'd probably save a couple hundred bucks that way.

If you can do the following yourself, will save a lot, if not, you can get it for probably around 50-75 dollars each.

Port manifold 75.00 (free if u can do it)
Port O2 housing 75.00 (free if u can do it)

All this is totalled is still under 1500 dollars, and if u search and are patiend im sure u can find deals and stuff on sale and if u can do some port work yourself, you will have more money left over to start saving up for the clutch you will be smoking soon!

anyone want to tell this kid to buy a clutch to transfer all this extra power. ACT 2600 would be a great buy, or a 2100 if your in fear of crankwalk

I dont think that he is going to be putting down enough power with exhaust, some guages and tuning equipment to worry about needing a clutch just yet.

You are right though. An ACT 2600 is definately something to consider and keep an eye out for down the road.

with either turbo he is deciding to go with i think with supporting mods and tuning he will easly surpass the capabilities of his oem clutch

When I put my Evo III turbo on my 95 GST- my clutch lasted about 2 days, so i bought my new one a CFDF and XACT flywheel. Worked great too. Upon inspection after i removed the stock clutch, the disc turned out to be fine, but my pressure plate had burn marks over the entire disc on it. So the clutch was actually still good, just needed a new pressure plate. And btw, damn what a difference the flywheel made at shift points, made them a lot quicker and as soon as you shift, you are taking off, no lag at all. Well worth the money!

ok right now i have spent a little of it, i decided to go with a brand new big 16g/install kit for 400 bucks. i think im going to port the wastegate out and hope it doesnt creep on me.

3" Catsco High flow cat. Brand new for (75 bucks)

looking for a muffler so i can put some piping on the thing and have my exaughst done.

now that i have that done im thinking air fuel gauge egt gauge. 190 pump, 550s, AFCi kinda want to get intercooler piping but i dont know how long its going to be before i have another 500 or so bucks to spend on a front mount.

Don't wait too long after it starts slipping, then you might have to get your flywheel resurfaced or buy a whole new one (more $).

Get; an exhaust, fuel pump (190 rewired), injectors (660), Pocketlogger and SAFC or DsmLink. Then get the EvoIII 16g and some method of install; either the kit, or 1g pipe and ss oil line and gaskets. Once you've gotten all this on and tuned start saving for a FMIC.

You will have to get your flywheel resurfaced anyway, so I wouldnt wrry about it too much. However, do not put it off too long, you WILL need to upgrade. My clutch was dead at 60k with only a 14b. While you are upgrading clutch pick up a Fidanza flywheel. They are a couple pounds lighter than the ACT, and have a replaceable friction surface. They are $250-$300 new, well worth the money.

Thanks for all the advice this is what i have purchased so far.

EVERYTHING IS BRAND NEW
Big 16g w\install kit $450 shipped
walbro 190 w/install kit
3inch apex i n1 muffler
3" catco cat -when these two arrive having muffler shop do 3inch turbo back.
autometer air/fuel gauge.

im looking at RC/lucas injectors right now on ebay. 550s? 650/60s? i think the 550s would be enough i dont want to run more then 18 psi on a daily basis.
I might get an SAFC first before the injectors.

Since you have a 95 which is an EPROM ECU, you save a bunch of money already.

780cc/min injectors which can be driven by the DSMchip. You'll never max out a 16G with those, and a 50 trim would still be difficult. More fuel is always safer and better.
