Beck Arnley Pistons?

Beck Arnley Pistons what do you guys think about these's? .50 Oversized pistons should i go through the pain of boring and putting them in?

Half-inch overbore? That'll roll. Great piston cooling with that direct water impingement.

Isn't the max-over on a DSM .040"?

If they'll fit, there's not really anything wrong with B/A slugs, so long as you aren't racing.

Thats 0.050 over or fifty thou, not .5 which is a half inch or five hundred thou over hahah..

They are fine, however never go over that large on your first set of pistons. You will not get HP gains from being .050 over so start with .020 then .040 then .050 as a last resort. Once you have blown your motor up three times and bored it over three times, you either need to have a look at something else that's causing the problem or sort out your thrill issues.

oem goes up to .040 i think.

I do believe it's 040 as well however I would wager a guess you could do a .050 if you really wanted to. Our motors are closed deck so thats not un-realistic. The VR6 guys who goto 3.1L do it all through bore and go .080 over just fyi. They are iron block too so really I think we could probablly go over that much as well, however it's getting pretty thin...
