Goodyear Gatorback Belts

Gatorback belts are desinged differently-in a sense. Instead, (unlike regular belts) Gatorbacks are designed to wear down like the pad of a shoe, rather than crack. Hope that helped at all! :dsm:

If you can find a source for any of it, I'd like to see it.

Any Gilmer belt with a name of a company you've heard of on it -particularly a large rubber company- should be just fine.

Then again, Firestone tires used to be reliable, too.

Very true, although the Bridgestone line are very reliable so I will agree that statement about good rubber companies..
 
I have one on my car only had it 8000 miles tho. so far no problems even after my throttle cable brakets ate away a good chunk of it. still goin strong. NEVER EVER BUY A CONTITECH marketed by topline engine componets they are junk had one on my car it failed in 2000 miles had a chunck of the teeth separate.
 
I am using all Gatorback belts, I would say that they are pretty similar to OEM. If you get them and are worried, I would just look at them every once in a while to make sure they aren't showing any abnormal wear patterns especially towards the end of it's life(for the timing belt anyway).
 
A belt's a belt most times timing belts fail because of worn tensioner's and tensioner pulleys. Change the belt at 60K. if you have a tall rev limit or high HP car change it at 30-40K.
