Hold/Peak Gauge?

Ok guys, this may make me look a little "slow" (short bus slow that is), but what are those gauges that I keep seeing that are like "hold and peak" gauges... they are mad expensive and I have no idea what they are for...... Thanx-- :rolleyes:

It just seems like most of them dont go to say 20psi, or 30psi... the go from like -30 to 0 to .5 then 1.0 then 1.5 then 2.0 and thats about it... you know what im saying? it just doesnt look like it makes any sense to me... ill try to find a picture so you can see what im talking about...

You mean peak-hold/warning gauges. The peak-hold works as stated above. The warning is another feature; you set a point where you want a warning light to go off. The Greddy egt I ordered also has a warning wire that can be used to attach to a buzzer so it goes off when you're over the pre-set warning. Even higher end gauges have memory functions that will repeat what the gauge was doing during a run.
