Well yesterday i swapped my motor mounts out for the prothane ones.
Well my first impression was that wow these are hard i wonder how much the car will vibrate. Well i started on the front lower one first got it out and changed and put it back in all in a matter of about 25 minutes.
I got all excited. Thinking this will be a quick job. Well boy was i wrong.
pulled out the driver side one. That one wasnt all that hard either. I couldnt get it to line up completly straight. So i dive in for the passenger one. That is where the fun began. After messing with it for about 2 hours or so i decided to grind off the nipple on top of the studs so i could get the mount to clear the studs and come out. Well at this time we had quite a few beers in us and we start taking more breaks to drink more beer. So we decide to put the rear on in pull it out and put the inserts in and find out that the rear one has been bent. So we have to pull the whole bracket that it mounts up to off so that we could bend it back out.
Well after about 8 hours of cussing, bloody knuckles and the damn shop light burning our arms just from touching it we finsh it up. Well i start the car up and first and all i can think is this is sick. Its vibrating but its sounds awesome. I love them cant wait to get on it to see if it helps with wheel hop.
