OK.... so me and a friend ported out my o2 and made the bottem exhaust side 2.5 inch left the upper exhaust side stock

and also ported out the o2 part and inside the o2 to make a smoother flow to the exhaust side.

all in hopes to get rid of stupid boost creep.... result... negative..

So im wondering I see o2 housing that have just a dump tube, and then a exhaust tube..

What are the advantages disadvantages to this

Im guessing it will be louder. but will this get rid of my boost creep possibly, cuz thats all i want, is no more boost creep.... TIA

I will be getting a walbro 255 as soon as i can get one pretty cheap, and also i have a FPR waiting for the pump to install all at once.

Since you have the tools to port, I would try to expand on that before you go and spend 150-300 on an O2 housing. Try porting out the turbine housing, especially the wastegate passages, and the "upper exhaust side" of the O2 housing, as you call it. Just don't go blowing money on something that may or may not solve the problem. If you have an O2 housing with external dump, it still may not solve boost creep if the passages in the turbine housing are restrictive.

the only problem is, my friend has all the tools... I don't...
...

either way I just wondered what was the whole point of dumping your o2 out. I mean does it make more power than forcing it back in?

I will port the rest of the o2 and the wastegate housing as well. thanks for the info.

Yes an O2 dumptube will be much louder than stock. Just think of a sound similar to an atmospheric dump from an external wastegate. Some love the sound, some hate the sound. Just know that they will get you extra attention from people when your wastegate opens.

Some have claimed it pulls a tad bit harder. One said he actually lost power by dumping their O2 housing. Who cares if all you're trying to do is cure boost creep? Just do the porting and then maybe consider dumping.

considering that the o2 is just being put back into the exhaust system, it would make sense you would get more power from dumping it instead of recirculating it back in. there is no way you could "lose" power right? cuz that just doesn't make sense to me... anyways...

my car is loud enough as it is :-( so you said its only when the wastegate opens it gets louder. hmm... too bad im a wimp and i can't refrain from putting the pedal to the metal alot... LOL

thanks for the advice... we are gonna port out the turbo and the wastegate flapper section and also the rest of the o2 this weekend hopefully. :D ill let ya knwo what happens
