dsmlink, 4500rpm revlimit with moron switch

question is this, I had my dsmlink set to default at a 4500 launch rpm. this all works on speed, so I am thinking that I could wire in a switch to cut the signul from the speed sensor making the computer think that the car was going 0 mph thus lowering the rev limit to 4500, kind of like a valet switch. one of those just incase kind of things to prevent any one from taking a joy ride after say a recall or body work. but I dont know exactly how the whole speed sensor thing works, anybody care to help me figure this out?

Yup, you can do that. It's pretty easy too.

IIRC, the clutch switch just grounds out that ECU pin when the clutch is pushed down. If I'm wrong, then it's the opposite, which is still easy.

However, I think that's what it is. You want to just put a switch wherever, attach one side of it to the wire on the ECU side of the clutch switch, and put the other side to ground. When you ground it out, boom, lowered rev limiter.

It's funny to watch someone drive a car like that. One time, my buddy put his car on the dyno with it in valet mode by accident....freaking hilarious.

the clutch switch is for the anit lag on version 2.0 min shoudl be here in a few days, but from what I have read so far it looks like v2 uses speed for the launch limit insted of a clutch switch. thats what makes me wonder if it can be done or not. I dont know how the speed sensor works on the car
