I want to get some info on the turbo at this link http://www.victoryperformance.com/product/Detail.cfm?ProductID=491
I drive a Eagle Talon Tsi FWD automatic, I know it sucks. This was one of the highest HP turbos at that site that was street legal, that is. So I wanted to see if I should buy it to give my car a little more power. My car is completely stock, unless the person that had it before me did something. I don't really know that much about cars so I was trying to learn a little from you guys. I see all your nice ass cars and think that I should have one like that. Most of the money I get doesn't go towards anything so I can get the money for this turbo in like a month or two. Any help would be great.

You should probably go through the staged upgrades before buying a turbo :) . I'd try referencing extrememotorsports.com or bushcurracing.com as a start and look under staged upgrades. Usually you'll replace the intake and exhaust as a first step.

Did you read the site you quoted? Let's review:

You will need to be very well modded to take full advantage of this turbo or larger...and we are not just talking bolt-ons. To be reasonably able to run this turbo worth a damn, you will need:
  • All necessary fuel upgrades for 600HP
  • A high-flow FMIC with larger piping
  • Full 3 inch turbo-back exhaust with O2 eliminator
  • Ported exhaust manifold
  • Performance cams
  • Worked cylinder head
  • Advanced engine management, be it piggy-back or standalone (and know how to use it)
  • All necessary engine upgrades for 600HP+
  • All necessary driveline upgrades

You really need to start here or here and start somewhere close to the top of the list in STAGE I.

Have fun and work your way up. It will take lots of time and money.
 
Wow great site I really need to get my car running better all of the symptoms that it said for a clogged fuel filter I have been having. Whenever I use the breaks and then hit the gas it won't go right away it has to get up to 2-3000 RPM's before it will take off. This is a really nice forum. Thanks 2-0turbo.
