Hey guys, I'm doing a trans filter change and fluid change today and had a quick question. When I got the pan down, the magnets had a sort of magnetic sludge over them. It was very fine and did not have any big pieces of metal, just a sludge like consistency of magnetic material. I was just hoping someone would be able to tell me if this is normal or could be signs of wearing parts. Thanks for your time, guys!

IT is pretty normal, that is from wear, but just about every transmission will have it. Clean it off the magnets with a paper towel.

Thanks guys. By the way, DO NOT FORGET TO PUT YOUR MAGNETS IN BEFORE YOU PUT THE PAN ON!!!! I remembered when all the pan bolts were hand tight...
