I just thought I would share some results of my Sinister Speed TC

The sinister speed torque converter compared to my old TC is giving me over a 2k difference without adjusting any launch controls on the foot brake. I didnt use my e brake yet. The sinister speed TC brings me to 3.5k instantly, within no more than 3 seconds of holding down the gas the rpms continue up to 4k where my brakes have trouble holding at that point. Maybe I should have pressed down harder on my brakes LOL. This is still on the Borg Warner s372 I have. The sinister speed TC does require a higher RPM to get going and stops a little harder when off of the gas. On the highway it seems even better since without using the shift box the TC alone was taking me over red line. Im using John Deere Hy-Gard Transmission and Hydraulic Oil in my transmission. I still need to run more tests but lets put it like this, Big Turbo <3 sinister speed TC

Great info:hellyeah: Im thinking of getting one since i have a 6152 but ive heard so many mix reviews that i decided to wait until further testing. On that note, can you tell us more about cruising speed in relation to rpm, does it heat up while driving on the freeway? Is it streetable?

I was having some other small issues with my 1g so I cant give you the actually temp yet. I think it is streetable, only thing is you need a higher rpm to get it moving. I don't really care because I have a larger turbo which needs a higher rpm to get into any real boost.

My 1g is all for drag racing, I dont take it to the corner store for a sandwich late at night. I drive to the meets, take it for a test drive here and there when Im on the streets.

I'm thinking of making a comparison list between both IPT and Sinister Speed. I would need to take my Talon out for a few more tests before I do such.

IPT Foot Brake & E Brake - 2k (on a great day)
SinisterSpeed Foot Brake and E Brake - 4k with some left.

^ Thats the biggest difference that makes Sinister Speed TC a winner to me as of now. This is all done with no n2o.

Eveyone knew it would stall higher the question is will it work going down the track being too loose. You trade stall speed for efficency so until you make a 1/4 mile pass no one will know. Get it to the track ;). Its great to stall without the bottle but if it will only go 130mph because its slipping and its out of gear its an issue.

Sure Id test it at the local track ROFL. I wish I had time to test it more, maybe this weekend. I took my 1g on the IPT TC to 130 without using the shift box. I will try to do the same in a few days to see any diffference.

Tomorrow Im gonna try to bring the Talon to 130 or higher and see if it starts to slip or etc. I didnt have the time or space to make that happen today and this Q45 90mm TB continues to give me small issues.

I was able to use the E brake and Slammed on the front brakes. I was able to get the Talon over 4500 rpms before the Talon trys to break loose. I also built over 5 psi, I felt a big difference from 4000 rpms to over 4500 rpms

I'm using IPT Billet right now, it can stall 2800 and get 135mph without NOS. Thinking of sending it for re-stall and at the same time trying the Sinister TC. Can you give detail specification of the converter you are using right now.

Do you have any times with that sinister yet ?

I've been in the market for a SS converter also but this thread was in April so it's probably not any of the new 9" ones, it's probably the old 8" correct?

Yes, I'm months late LOL. I dont track any of my cars so times will be hard for me to get. I street test my cars LOL.
