Just not feeling it

Ok so i'm halfway done rebuilding this Trans.
I just put the oilpump on the front.
Should i be able to turn the input shaft with my hand?
I'm just not sure and having second thoughts about torquing it down.
Any ideas?

Oops i guess i should have gotten back on here last night.
After posting last night i removed the oil pump and checked, it turned by hand.
So i torqued the pump down and am rolling with it.
We'll see how it goes.
I'm thinking it's ok and i'm just a wussy and can't turn it by hand
